Interface Design

I love designing intuitive interfaces that aren't boring. Here's some of that stuff.

The Mux --> Blast HQ Setup Process

I put together a quick animation to demonstrate how The Mux took a bunch of inputs and distilled it into a nice, consistent format.

Connect Services

This screen replaced the screen that follows in this gallery. We found people were hesitant to connect services before we explained the value prop and gave them assurance we weren't going to spam their accounts.

Post manager

The user was able to review a list of all posts being shown on their Mux, based on the sources they connected and the filtering options set up. in this case, this Mux showed a bunch of social content. Note the intelligent merging of posts so the same item didn't show up 3 times from 3 different sources.

Filter Content

Users don't want to display everything they've ever posted on a site onto their Mux. The Filter Content panel allowed them to specify types of content across multiple sources.

The Mux/BlastHQ Outputs

These modules were examples of data being input into The Mux and being surfaced in a relevant place. The first post is a Foursquare checkin, and the second and third being tweets.

.

Posterous concept

A rough, unsolicited mockup I created as a suggested redesign for the Posterous site manager.

Zillow Widget

Designed for a subsidiary of Zillow to allow real estate agents to embed a map on their site. (circa 2011)
